Sobriety vs. Drunkenness

It is not accurate to look at the Royal Path only like a line between extremes, like in temperatures.  40° is too cold, 90° is too hot, 72° is just right.   

It is more accurate to look at the Royal Path as sobriety as opposed to drunkenness.  Some drunks get mean (right) and some drunks get foolish (left).  But a drunk is a drunk and not sober, no matter how his drunkenness manifests.  A compromise between meanness and foolishness does not make sobriety.
